How it works

One receipt, from shoebox to sorted.

Send it however it turns up — crumpled, emailed or buried in the glovebox. Here’s what happens next, shown on the real product.

Captured

A photo on the run.

Snap it on the spot — crumpled, faded or in poor light. We straighten and clean it up for you, or forward it by email and drop files just as easily.

Read

Every figure, pulled out.

Vendor, date, total and tax are read straight off the page — no typing, no spreadsheet. You stay in control; nothing is final until you say so.

Categorised

Sorted into your books.

Each line is matched to the right category, tax code and payment method — using your rules and the corrections you’ve made before. What counts as personal stays your call: flag it in a tap.

Questions, answered.

What does Lazy Finance do?

It takes the receipts, invoices and expense documents piling up in your wallet, inbox and glovebox and does the tedious part for you. Send one in by photo, email forward or file — Lazy Finance reads the vendor, date, totals and tax and sorts each line into a category, then you have a quick look, fix anything that’s off, and export.

Is it bookkeeping or tax software?

No. Lazy Finance handles the document workflow — capturing, organising and reviewing before export. It does not replace your bookkeeper, accountant or tax professional. Always review extracted details before relying on them.

How are my records exported?

Export to CSV, Excel or PDF — formats you can import straight into Xero, QuickBooks or MYOB, or hand to your accountant. Lazy Finance prepares documents for export; it does not publish to your ledgers.

Is my data safe?

Everything is encrypted at rest and in transit, and isolated per account. We only work with providers whose terms prohibit using your documents for model training — your receipts are processed, then gone.

Which countries and taxes are supported?

GST (Australia, New Zealand, Singapore), VAT (UK, EU), US sales tax, Malaysian SST and more. Receipts in AUD, USD, GBP, EUR and 40+ other currencies are supported.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Starter is free — 25 documents a month, one entity, no credit card. It’s the trial that never ends: capture, review and export whenever you need.
